Hi Friends! We loved seeing you all at our meeting last weekend! For those of you who couldn't make it (that was a crazy snowstorm!), we missed you!
Here's what went down:

We handed out a notebook for everyone to sign up for the UFO challenge during the meeting and all of those projects have been typed up under this tab - just in case you forget what you signed up for. If you didn't get a chance to sign up, you can still sign up next month, or leave a quick comment on this blog post and we'll get you signed up. :)
April Rosenthal gave a fabulous trunk show and shared many many of her amazing quilts designed by her and including her own fabric lines. Thank you April! We love you!

New Challenge: Optical Illusions
Nebo Modern Quilt Guild
2017 Challenge #1
Our first challenge for this year is "Optical Illusion." Any quilt that plays a trick on the eyes is what we're looking for. It might be straight seems that look curved, the appearance of a third dimension, a secondary pattern that emerges, a photo design or any other optical illusion. Some techniques used might be straight piecing, curved piecing, grid piecing or appliqué.
You can choose to make any type of piece....a quilt, mini quilt, pillow, pouch, table runner or a stylin' vest! Whatever you choose to make must be 100% completed to be eligible for the prize drawing at the end.
All items need to be completed by our June guild meeting.
Here are a couple of sites and a pinterest board that have some good optical illusion eye candy!

Hey everyone!
Are you ready for an awesome Quilt Guild meeting this Saturday? We're SUPER excited to see everyone and get back in the swing of things. Here are a few things going on this week that you need to know about:
1. April Rosenthal will be here to share
some of her quilts and show us her fabulous new fabric line! YAAAYY!!
If you haven't heard of April Rosenthal, she's an amazing (and local!)
quilt pattern and fabric designer. Check out her blog here: AprilRosenthal.com and her instagram here: @amrosenthal
2. UFOs. Choose three or four of your UnFinished Objects and commit to finishing them this year. We'll be handing around sign-ups and explaining this challenge to you at our guild meeting.
